New Zealand vs India – Scorecard, Stats, Lineups

71.1

FOUR! Jasprit Bumrah to BJ Watling. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge past third man for 4 runs. Back to back fours, Watling with an outside edge down to third man for four, runs are crucial to both teams, so New Zealand will be happy with them no matter how they come.

And now they are coming off because the sun has gone down which means stumps on day two. New Zealand will be fairly happy with this, but after the start they made with Williamson and Taylor they will be kicking themselves with the three quick wickets they conceded. India have clawed their way back into this, some good bowling at the end from Sharma, Shami and Ashwin is the reason for this.

Good morning, we’re back in Wellington for day three of the first test. After a great start to yesterday New Zealand lost their grip on the game a little bit with three quick wickets going. Taylor and Williamson gave them a lead at two down then they and Nicholls departed leaving New Zealand on 216 for 5. Shami, Sharma and Ashwin all key to the change in momentum for India, lots of work still to be done by them though with New Zealand still in the driving seat.
