Chrome Pass is a small Windows password recovery tool that allows you to view usernames and passwords stored in the Google Chrome web browser. For each password entry, the following information is displayed: root URL, action URL, username field, password field, username, password, and creation time. This allows you to retrieve passwords from your currently running system or from user profiles stored on an external drive. You can select one or more elements and then save them to a text/html/xml file or copy them to the clipboard.

In the latest versions of the Yandex web browser, password encryption has changed, and now it differs from Chrome password encryption, so ChromePass can no longer decrypt Yandex passwords. ChromePass does not require installation or additional DLL files. To start using ChromePass, simply run the executable file – ChromePass.exe. Once launched, the main window will display all the passwords currently stored in your Google Chrome browser.

How to change the language

1. Launch ChromePass with the /savelangfile option:
   ChromePass.exe /savelangfile
   A file named ChromePass_lng.ini will be created in the ChromePass extension directory.
2. Open the created language file in Notepad or any other text editor.
3. Translate all string entries to the desired language. Optionally, you can also add your name and/or a link to your website. (TranslatorName and TranslatorURL values) If you add this information, it will be used in the About window.
4. Once the translation is complete, launch ChromePass and all translation strings will be loaded from the language file.
   If you want to run ChromePass without translation, just rename the language file or move it to a different folder.
