The Drag & DropZones add-on for Firefox and Opera expands the Firefox search engine manager window; you drag a search engine onto 1 (or more) DropZone to link them. Drag & DropZones is an innovative way to search the Internet. Once set up, you can activate this feature by dragging any text or link from a website.

Drag & DropZones displays a transparent grid that you can customize to your preferred color, and it will appear on top of the site you’re browsing, showing all your search engines. The DropZone you are currently hovering over will be highlighted. When you drag text or a link into any of the DropZones, your search will proceed as usual.

The first time you launch Drag & DropZone, all your Firefox search engines will be automatically assigned to DropZone and you can start using it immediately.

Moreover, Drag & DropZones allows you to select any context menu action as a DropZone. Now you can do things like [Copy Image] or [Bookmark This Link] simply by dragging an image or link into your DropZone. A toolbar button (add via View/Toolbars/Customize) allows you to toggle drag zones on and off if you temporarily need to perform a lot of other drag and drop operations.
