Dell OS Recovery Tool is a free application that you can use to create a USB recovery drive to reinstall the Windows or Linux that came with your computer.

You can install or extract the file, but installation will be required either way. The Dell OS Recovery Tool is quite easy to use and anyone can use it by following the simple four steps in order.

Use:

Download and install the Dell OS Recovery Tool.

Run the Dell OS Recovery Tool and enter the Service Tag of the computer on which you want to reinstall the operating system.

Select the operating system image you want to install and OS Recovery Tool will create a bootable USB recovery drive.

Install the operating system using the USB recovery drive you just created. This will erase all data and software from your computer’s hard drive and restore the operating system to its factory default.

What you will need:

The service tag of the Dell computer on which you want to install Microsoft Windows or Linux.

Download and install Dell OS Recovery Tool (works only on Microsoft Windows)

An empty USB drive with at least 16 GB of free space.

Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5.2 or higher

Administrator rights and at least 16 GB of free space to download the Dell Recovery ISO.
