Create password archives and protect them with a master password
The Buttercup password manager is designed to be used with archives, and each archive has its master key for encrypting data. The utility uses AES 256-bit CBC mode and SHA256 HMAC.
Immediately, Buttercup will prompt you to create a new archive, and then you can decide whether you want to store it locally or connect with an online storage solution and make them available remotely.
Buttercup can be used with Dropbox, OneCloud or WebDAV servers, and you need to authorize the application to connect to the corresponding account. Naturally, you can simply open an existing archive or create a new archive.
Categorize your credentials and add custom fields to enter all information
After opening the archive window, Buttercup allows you to quickly create new groups and add any number of entries in each category. The manager allows you to sort items in ascending or descending order by title or time, and it also has a simple search tool.
By default, every new Buttercup input panel will prompt you to enter a title, username, and password. For your convenience, Buttercup provides a password generator that can use characters and words, and can contain letters, numbers, symbols, and is easy to remember.
At the same time, Buttercup gives you the option to add any number of custom fields so that you can include all relevant information related to a particular account.
