Technology has developed rapidly in just a few years. Not only can the camera record still and moving pictures at incredible high resolutions, but it can now also use specific features to detect motion. For this special feature, VisionLab VCL comes with a set of necessary libraries, included in the Delphi/C++ project, for video recording and motion detection.

There is almost no coding involved, at least when integrating these collections of libraries.It implements computer vision for programs built with Delphi and C++ through different algorithms, and is compatible with development platforms, such as Seattle 10, Or Radar Studio.

Configuration requires very little effort. Built-in algorithms include detection by extracting robust features, Hough circles and line segments, detecting Haar objects, finding colors, finding and tracking targets, adaptive thresholds, smart edge detection, or basic motion detection by the number of occurrences in each frame.

In addition to motion detection components, it also provides the necessary means to capture video frames. These capture components are based on filters such as Video for Windows or VFW, as well as DirectShow. This eliminates the need to acquire additional or external components and applications to record video, so that motion detection technology can be captured and applied in a convenient package.
