Now that online meetings are the norm in many workplaces, people are looking for better and simpler ways to manage. Chat apps and macOS don’t always play well together, so they may not have handy features like menu bar integration, notifications, or hotkeys.

conference bar is an app for Zoom and Google Meet users designed to simplify event management and help you keep track of every meeting right from the menu bar. It even allows you to create and join events with simple keyboard shortcuts.

Monitor upcoming meetings from the menu bar

If you’re working from home, it’s easy to forget about meetings because you don’t actually have to prepare to go anywhere in advance. The event title in the menu bar is not to be missed, it’s better than a 5-minute notice before the meeting starts.

However, if you’re not a fan, you can turn off the event header, which means you’ll have to click the app’s menu bar icon to see when the next meeting is scheduled. Any additional information related to the event is also available from this menu.

Easily join and create Google Meet or Zoom meetings

When a meeting is about to start, you can join the meeting directly from the menu bar, or use a pre-configured hotkey to join the meeting. If you want, you can force the app to use Chrome for all Google Meet links.

To create a new meeting that was not planned beforehand, you can use another shortcut that you also need to set up. Note that you must specify in advance whether the app should use Zoom or Google Meet for the event, which may not be ideal if you use both.
