Review of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 by City Interactive

Sniper: Ghost Warrior is a new military tactical sniper RPG series developed and published by City Interactive. In the game, players take on the role of a freelance sniper hired by a private security company to destroy a secret list of targets. Unlike typical first person shooters, in this game the player takes on the role of a character (you) playing as a sniper who has the ability to look through almost all types of optics and use a wide variety of gadgets to destroy the targets he or she is given. fighting off waves of enemy soldiers and villains sent to round up and interrogate the remaining few dozen guards in the territory you’re trying to destroy.

The game starts with a storyline revolving around a plot involving a group of terrorists planning to blow up a major airport. A group of terrorists, consisting mainly of teenagers, plans to storm the airport using two bombs planted remotely on several aircraft. Once planted, the bombs self-destruct, releasing large amounts of radioactive material into the air. The government then reacted by issuing a mass alert throughout the area, making it virtually impossible for any aircraft to take off or land.

While the initial plot sounds interesting, I personally felt that the overall quality of the game was a little dull. While City Interactive has made significant progress in level design and storyline, the core gameplay often feels very similar to previous entries in the sniper series. There are still a lot of bullets and other objects to shoot at, but the shooting part of the game itself wasn’t that exciting or thrilling. However, despite this, I can honestly say that I enjoyed playing the game, although the final part of the game left me feeling somewhat dissatisfied. On the other hand, the game is full of high quality concept art and animations that really add to the visual appeal of the game. If you like Snipers Forever, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, or any of the other upcoming titles in the series, you should definitely check out Ghost Warrior: Ultimate Collector’s Edition.
