Your Mac’s display appears bright and clear as you start your day, and over time, the screen color changes smoothly to match the lighting conditions in your location.

Change colors according to your schedule

F.lux will understand your schedule to warm up your screen at sunset and produce a stronger effect at bedtime. So you can avoid bright light before bed or during night shifts.

By accessing the Preferences window you can tell F.lux when you usually start your day and try different predefined colors for different scenarios. F.lux automatically switches between three light settings throughout the day.

If you are not satisfied with the provided color scheme, you can always create your own custom color scheme and set different color values ​​for day, sunset and bedtime.

Intuitive status bar menu

From the F.lux’s status bar menu, you can quickly enable two and a half hours of movie mode and enjoy your movies in a warmer setting without changing shadow detail, sky color or skin tones. You can also try a darkroom or disable F.lux until sunrise if you want.
