Bright is publishing software that allows you to design books and then upload the project to the Blurb platform to order physical copies or sell e-books in various stores.

The BookWright utility comes with predefined templates to reduce processing time, enables you to review results before publishing, and notifies you if your designs have typographical issues.

Design books and print them easily

The BookWright app offers you the possibility to create books with a well-organized WYSIWYG workspace. The application allows you to work with book covers, pages or backgrounds.

The project can be stored locally using BookWright’s proprietary file format, so you can continue editing your book over multiple sessions without the end result having to be uploaded to the Blurb platform (requires an account, you can sign up for free).

BookWright produces both physical and e-books, and through the web console, you can decide if you want to order a physical copy of your project, or if you want to see your book on various platforms, such as Blurb store, Amazon, Apple iBooks store, etc. Wait.

Simple and straightforward book editor to produce professional-looking products

Within the BookWright canvas area, you can change the layout of any page with a simple drag-and-drop motion, quickly create text or photo fields and handle formatting or photo manipulation tasks, change the background of all pages included in the project, and more.

BookWright features a ruler guide that helps you identify the printable area and notifies you of any issues with editing. You can choose to integrate metadata information and even assign free or custom ISBN codes.

Additionally, BookWright comes with a preview tool that allows you to view all pages of your publication, including the cover.

Finally, BookWright proposes an intuitive space where users can create books, regardless of their type or layout, in a clean workspace. All editorial selections can be viewed in real time, and BookWright automatically generates paper or e-book versions of the project.

It’s worth mentioning that BookWright lets you export PDF proofs, but the document cannot be printed: you’ll need to order or sell your book through the Blurb platform.
