Tray status is an easy-to-use software application that displays in the system tray whether certain keys are activated.

Setting up the program requires little time and minimal effort; during installation, it can be set to run automatically at system startup.

Define how the status is displayed
After initialization, TrayStatus creates an icon in the system tray, whose context menu you can access to configure settings. Therefore, you can ask the application to display the state of one, several or all of the above keys. Remember, it creates a systray icon for each option.
Additionally, you can edit hard drive activity options by specifying read and write byte thresholds. There are no other notable features here. For example, an application cannot be set to pop a balloon every time a key is activated or deactivated. It just changes the color of the icon, so this is easy to miss.
CPU and RAM usage is extremely low, so TrayStatus does not hog system resources. It has a good response time and in our tests did not cause Windows to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
In summary
We had no issues, and the utility is so intuitive that even users with no experience with computer software can understand it. However, it might welcome some features that make notifications more shiny.
