Your changes are localized strictly to the custom layouts created with KbdEdit. Windows default layouts, as well as layouts created with other tools, are protected from accidental damage.

Deploying a custom layout elsewhere is as easy as exporting it in KBE format and using the “Import” function on the target computer. If you are using an x64 version of Windows, you will no longer feel left out: KBE files can be imported on both 32-bit and x64-bit platforms.
