astronomical imager is an astrophotography application designed to be used with various camera models or with any INDI server. Additionally, the AstroImager can be used in combination with filter wheels and CCD devices.

Connect to your camera and preview capture and deframe

In the main AstroImager window, intuitive drop-down menus allow you to select the camera you want to control (must be connected to your Mac), the filter wheel, and the color filter you want to use.

AstroImager offers you the possibility to preview captures or save images to disk as .fits image files. Note that when you preview a capture, you can zoom in or out on the image, automatically adjust black and white point settings, create subframes, and more.

Additional features include the option to measure stellar drift or use the Bahtinov Mask Helper to focus and align the telescope. AstroImager can also connect to online resources to attempt to resolve user-selected frames.

Control your camera and capture photos from the comfort of your Mac

AstroImager also integrates camera management features, such as the option to adjust the offset of Debayer captured images. Additionally, you can set the cooling point and image capture duration. This is very useful, especially when working on timelapse projects.

Images captured by the AstroImager app are sent to a folder of your choice, you can assign a prefix and set the counting mode.

AstroImager gives you the option to visualize the image captured by your telescope camera right on your Mac desktop and zoom in on the area you want to capture. The utility also has integrated camera controls that can help you focus your telescope.
