Conducting circuit experiments in real life can be a time- and resource-intensive task. circuit is a simple computer-aided design application with a powerful simulation engine that allows you to work with digital and analog circuits.
The interface of iCircuit is similar to any other CAD application: in the graphics area you can easily add different elements with specific properties and quickly create connections.
With iCircuit’s real-time simulation engine, you’ll be able to instantly see results and work on your projects in a realistic manner. Since you can always keep the power on, you don’t have to deal with measurements and reporting.
iCircuit comes with a collection of 30 components that can be used to quickly build different structures: signal generators, voltage and current sources, resistors, capacitors, inductors, potentiometers, voltage regulators, SPST/SPDT switches, relays, transformers, Diodes, BJ transistors, MOSFETs, speakers, microphones, buzzers, DC motors, LEDs, op amps, ADCs, DACs, logic gates (AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR), JK and D flip-flops and 30+ 74XX series IC.
The application includes a multimeter that can be used to measure the voltage around a circuit and an oscilloscope that can be used to track changes over time.
Once completed, iCircuit enables you to quickly export your circuit to different popular file formats: PNG, PDF or SVG.
ICircuit has the potential to be a useful tool for students and professional engineers, although development of the application appears to be stalled at the moment.
