High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos provide a more realistic representation because they can display a wider range of brightness levels. hydra is a simple Mac application that allows you to recreate effects by overlaying multiple images taken with the same landscape.

To start using Hydra Pro functionality, you must drag and drop a regular image onto the top of the application’s main window or on top of the Dock icon. Hydra Pro will automatically open the editing window where you can preview the included image and make any necessary adjustments.

Hydra application is able to overlay up to 7 different images: you can choose to preview them and visualize the general details of each image.

Additionally, Hydra enables you to align images, adjust image temperature, includes a crop function, and allows you to remove ghost areas manually or automatically.

Once you’re ready to combine your images, you can easily switch to developer mode and apply one of 12 built-in mapping presets.

To customize the results, Hydra allows you to adjust shadow and highlight levels, brightness levels for different tones, and more. This way you will be able to give your images an artistic look instantly.

When you’re satisfied with your project, Hydra lets you share the image on social media (Facebook, Flickr, or Twitter), export it to disk, or send it to an Aperture, iPhoto, or Lightroom library.
