Those who played the role were asked to look at the patterns of two different coffee drinks and name them correctly.
The first diagram showed a cup filled with espresso and hot water, which was covered with a small amount of cream.
They all agreed it was a long black.
But the second diagram gave the students problems, and it seems even baristas can’t agree on what the drink is.
The other cup contains espresso, cream, steamed milk and is topped with foam.

Kieran Westlake, president of the Australian Specialty Coffee Association, told the publication that based on his local coffee culture, the drink would be flat white, but elsewhere it could easily be classified as a tapa.
He said: “This is a difficult question for students, as the answer depends on the geography and culture of the coffee where it is served.”
Other baristas argued he was wrong, saying it had to be a cappuccino because a white dish would not have foam on top.
Since then, netizens have called the quiz question “silly” and others have even added new suggested answers to the mix, with some wondering if it is a latte.
One person tweeted: “As a trained barista, this is definitely not a cappuccino: the caps have more milk froth, the froth is not thin enough for a latte.” It is therefore a matt white.
