The fact that there are so many third-party window managers makes it clear that macOS is severely lacking in this functionality. You might think that yet another one is unnecessary, but there is always room for improvement, or just something that can be done differently.
scrapbookr provides a simpler window management system, built primarily around a few easy-to-remember hotkeys that can be used repeatedly to cycle through a set of window sizes and positions. However, it also has other advanced features.
The primary window management method involves using a set of modifier keys in combination with the arrow keys. These modifier keys will move and/or resize the window by cycling through a series of user-configured clips.

The beauty of this system is that you don’t need to remember a ton of keyboard shortcuts for every possible scenario. Simply select a window and cycle through the available options until you find the right one.
You also have a relatively simple Pairing Mode, which lets you easily set up a dual-window layout that uses the available screen real estate.
If you want shortcuts for a specific layout, you can still set them up. These can be global shortcuts for each window position, or options provided via a menu that can be opened with a single hotkey.
Each action can be made as complex as you want. You can add multiple actions which will be executed simultaneously when the action is triggered. This feature makes the app very flexible.
Of all the window management apps out there, Clippper probably has the easiest learning curve. It’s not as powerful as most unless you spend some time setting things up, but it allows you to manage your desktop more efficiently with a few easy-to-remember hotkeys.
