What’s new

A refined interface

• For starters, you’ll notice that SoundSource’s menu bar icon now always shows your Mac’s volume level, as well as indicating when the sound is completely muted.
• Then the main window has slimmed down, while providing all the controls and information you need. And the new compact display saves even more screen space, while giving access to all the most important things.
• From subtle animations and artwork improvements, to support for matching your system’s accent color, there’s a lot more to see. The new interface is truly a sight to behold.

Automatic app management

• With version 5, you no longer need to manually manage the applications that SoundSource controls. Instead, everything is handled automatically. When an app produces sound, SoundSource will add it to the list, ready to make the desired adjustments.
• Of course, SoundSource also keeps this list tidy. It removes apps when they stop producing sound, while saving the desired adjustments for the future.
• If you want to make sure an application is on the list even when it’s not producing sound, you can still do that too. Just click the “Favorites” star to make sure the app appears even when it’s not producing sound.

Performance improvements

• If you use SoundSource to apply sound effects, you’ll really appreciate the improvements we’ve made in version 5. Beginners will appreciate our upgraded built-in effects, with the new Magic Boost 2 as well as a more user-friendly 10-band equalizer.
