Restaurant ad leaves people in trouble for embarrassing punctuation error

People laughed a lot at a punctuation error seen on a flyer from an Indian restaurant in London.
A funny ad for Anu’s Kitchen in east London was recently shared on the Foodhub takeout site, where it was spotted by Oldham user Paul Brook.
Paul couldn’t help but notice that the apostrophe was missing in the restaurant name, so he read “Cuisine of the Year” instead.
Hoping to make others laugh, she took to Facebook to share the embarrassing mistake of writing “Why punctuation matters.”
The full ad on Foodhub reads: “Anus Kitchen is now available at Foodhub.co.uk.
«Take advantage of a 15% discount when you order directly @ anuskitchen.co.uk. ”
Since customers spotted the bug, several people couldn’t help but joke about it.
One person commented, “Makes a great tenderloin steak.”
Another said: “I could give you a ‘ring’.
A third wrote: “No punctuation will correct that.”
Someone else posted: “Your Shiitake mushroom surprise is interesting.”
While a fourth rudely joked: “Entrance from the rear”.
However, one foodie was not surprised by the mistake, having seen it before at another restaurant called Anu’s in his area.
They shared a click of the restaurant sign: “My God. We had anus kitchen near me, for a few weeks until they found out.
“Then they added a little chili to try to make it better.”
Along with her post, there was a photo showing how a cartoon chili had been tactically inserted into her local branch sign to make the important distinction.
Anu’s Kitchen serves a selection of curries, kebabs, burgers and wraps.
Mirror Online has contacted Anu’s Kitchen for comment. A spokesperson for the restaurant claimed the error was due to Foodhub.
They said, “We recently opened a kitchen, my wife’s nickname is Anu and since she is a chef, we decided to name the kitchen.
“Foodhub printed brochures for us and made a stupid mistake. Even the image on the brochure is wrong, it’s not our food.
“If they had shown it to us before publication, we would definitely change the image and correct the name.”
