How to enable Google Verified Calls feature on Android – Heaven32

Google has started rolling out its verified call feature, which is a kind of caller ID with some cool features, to support Truecaller. According to some reports, Google is working on a dedicated calling app like Truecaller. However, until then you can use this function.

The new Verified Calls feature lets you not only see who is calling, but also what the purpose of the call is. Companies can indicate a reason for calling, so you are doubly sure whether to take the call or not.

Well, it’s unclear how the company will list these reasons for calls, but you can enable this feature on your phone right now. Your Android phone needs to complete certain tasks before you can activate this feature.

Preconditions

• Your phone must be compatible with the Google Phone app. Most Pixel smartphones and Android One phones come with this app preinstalled.
• You need to install this app from Google play store if your phone does not have this app yet.

Steps to enable verified calls in the Google Phone app

1. Once everything is configured, open the Phone application on your phone.
2. Press the Three points menu button in the upper right section and select Settings.
3. In Settings, Go to Caller ID and spam section and activate Checked calls option there.
   
4. After enabling this, you can close the app.
5. Now whenever a verified call partner business calls you, you will also see the reason for the call on the call screen.
