The tallest building in the world was used because more than 2.7 million euros were collected in the United Arab Emirates for those affected by COVID-19.
Lights were lit on the facade of Burj Khalifa whenever a donation was made.
The goal was to turn the building into a virtual donation box.
The United Arab Emirates has recorded more than 18,000 cases of COVID-19 and about 200 deaths, according to a count from Johns Hopkins University.
