OracleToPostgres is a simple to use application designed to facilitate the transfer of data from one database format to another. The program can easily convert and export the specified data from Oracle to PostgreSQL. It also offers several tools to facilitate the transfer, such as wizards or requests.

OracleToPostgres supports the export of data contained in the selected table. You need to connect to both databases to allow data export / import. The software allows you to easily select the source of the transfer, choosing the desired table and indicating the lines to be processed.

You can even create new tables in the source database, then convert them instantly and move them to the destination. The output schema must also be specified, selecting one of the supported databases from the drop-down menu. In addition, you must specify the mode of data transfer; thus, you can attach the new information to the destination table, replace or update the data.

In case of transferring several tables at the same time, you can do it using the dedicated function. You can manually select and configure the tables to transfer or you can open the specific wizard function. You can also create a query to define the source of the transfer.

You can control the whole export / import process through SQL query, identifying input tables, indicating destination and transfer method. Data migration can be done by adding existing information, replacing it, or updating it.

The software allows you to automate transfer tasks by creating schedules and indicating whether a transfer should be done once or multiple times. You can also control tasks via the command line, create batch files (.BAT) or save the current session for later use.

The area at the bottom of the window shows the progress of the import, the activity log and, in case of a single table transfer, a preview of the result.
