Google announces company vacation to avoid depletion of coronavirus

[ad_1]
Alphabet's Google said Friday that it asked employees to take a day off on May 22 to address work-related exhaustion from home during the coronavirus pandemic.
CEO Sundar Pichai announced the move in a memorandum to employees on Thursday night, which was the first reported
by CNBC.
Google said it would start reopening more offices worldwide in early June, but that most Google employees would likely work from home until the end of this year.
Facebook also said Friday that it would allow workers who can work remotely to do so until the end of 2020.
The virus, which has so far infected more than 3.9 million people worldwide, has forced tight blockades in most countries and has changed the way companies operate, with emerging home-based work like new standard.
