When moving files from one location to another, the Finder can definitely use some improvements, because it’s not uncommon to find yourself messing with multiple windows just to keep items in different folders on hand.

Drop Designed to help solve this problem, and more other features. This is a fairly simple application that allows you to create “shelfs” where you can place files, folders, images and even text. You can then drag and drop them to other locations, or just upload them or share them with others.

Just shake the mouse cursor to create a bookshelf

When you want to save the content, just shake the mouse cursor while dragging the item and place it on the shelf that appears. Supports all files and folders, as well as text fragments and images from the Internet. You can load multiple projects at once, and even add multiple projects later.

The app allows you to create multiple shelves, which are kept on top of all other windows for easy access. You can also use hotkeys or create them from the menu bar. To move something from the shelf, simply drag it to another location on the Mac.
