First Gray Hat Hackers hackathon hacked, Hacker presents DeFi solution to stop money laundering in DEX

Hacken, a leading cybersecurity, blockchain, and cryptocurrency community, hosts the premier Gray Hat hacker ideas competition where hackers and IT enthusiasts can submit their ideas for detect and counter vulnerabilities in crypto and DeFi projects. The hackathon offers Gray Hat hackers the opportunity to implement their ideas with the support of the Hacken community as legitimate White Hat hackers.
As of January 19, 2021, the Hacken community has started accepting submissions of ideas for the hackathon on their website.
. As requests started to come in, someone found an innovative way to submit their request, which involved hacking into the website and posting a message with information about their idea for the hackathon.
The message left by the hackers on the website said that the site had been hacked and that they believed that by hacking the website to submit their idea, they had a better chance of winning the contest. These innovative candidates plan to develop a project using artificial intelligence and machine learning to secure DeFi projects based on Ethereum and Polkadot. As part of this project, they intend to create a global chain database of wallets containing illicit funds so that DeFi solutions can fight money laundering.
After the attack, the Hacken team worked with their community to restore access to the website. Meanwhile, Hacken CEO Dyma Budorin admitted to the unique request sent by the hackers that says:
“We have helped our community restore the site’s work. It was not a typical hack. The hackers decided to come forward and request your participation in the hackathon this way. We have contacted them to clarify the details of the project. Although we do not support hackers, the project in question pays attention. We suggest that the project has the potential to impact the future development of the DeFi market.
Hacken also confirmed that all requests received up to the incident are intact and will be reviewed according to standard procedure. Applications for the first Gray Hat Hackers Ideas Competition will be open until January 31, followed by the announcement of shortlisted ideas on February 3, 2021.
The winning team will receive a prize of 600,000 HAI, while the second and third place will receive 300,000 HAI and 100,000 HAI respectively. A special price of 5,000 USDT is also offered. Enter the Gray Hat Hackers Ideas Competition at – https://ihktn.com/
