Animate your path
Navigate directly between live view and captured frames, or switch to automatic switching. Play in a loop to get the feeling of the movement you are aiming for. Playback and step control functions are fully customizable according to your needs.

REFERENCE MATERIAL
Upload some reference photos or videos and watch them along with the animation. Blend them with opacity, pull out the chroma key (blue screen) and even assign a matte debris to see only the part you want. Push help videos into the synced player if you want them to be put aside.

KEYBOARD CONTROL

IMAGE OVERVIEW
Check images in full resolution. Check for overexposed or underexposed areas with clipping mode. Load images from other scenes to compare exposure and composition. Compare the contrast of the image with a digital densitometer.

MULTI-ROAD EDITING
Import multiple audio tracks and make basic edits. Split tracks and drag segments to adjust the time on the fly. You can even move the cues and readings of the character tracks together to keep them in sync.

READING DIALOGUES
Create characters, preview audio, and assign words and phonetics to the entire dialogue. View this data during animation in the X-Sheet, Timeline or Audio HUD.

LIGHTING, AUTOMATIC
Control up to 512 lighting channels when combined with a DDMX-512, DMC-16 or DMC +. You define your lighting program before shooting, and then watch how the app controls your lighting as you shoot, allowing the animators to focus on the animation.

MOTION CONTROL, BUILT-IN
Integrated motion control means you can program camera movements and lighting effects from one system. This means that you can quickly preview the moves using the same camera with which you will be animating. This means that lighting and motion control will be in the right place at the right time. Therefore, if the animator needs to reshoot multiple frames, Dragon frame for macOS can safely return the set to the correct position every time.

MOVING TESTS
Once you’ve programmed a move, you’ll want to test it out. Run the move test in an Arc workspace and see what it looks like. The moving test only captures ancillary video footage to speed up the testing process. On a long move, you can only reshoot the section you are working on. You will make your move in record time.

HARDWARE INTEGRATION
You can use a wide variety of hardware, from a DIY Arduino-based DFMoco sketch to ready-made kits from eMotimo or Slidekamera.
