Voxengo Span for Mac This is a free real-time “fast fourier transform” AAX audio spectrum analyzerAudioUnit and VST plugin for professional audio and music production applications. It was largely derived from Voxengo’s GlissEQ dynamic parametric equalizer and replicates its spectral analysis functionality.

It provides you with a very flexible system of “modes” that you can use to customize Spectrum Analyzer Settings

. You can specify the Fourier block size in samples, the percentage of FFT window overlap, the visual slope of the spectrum. In addition, you can choose to display the secondary spectrum of the desired type (e.g. real-time maximum, all-time maximum). The spectrum can be visually smoothed for easier study.

It supports multi-channel analysis and can be configured to display spectra from two different channels or groups of channels simultaneously. The spectrum color can be selected to suit your taste.

Voxengo Span for macOS also features output level measurement with adjustable ballistics and integration time, K-system measurement (including K-system calibration measurement). Voxengo Span for Mac Displays level metering statistics, headroom estimation, and clipping detection. Correlation metering is also available.

Compatibility

This audio plugin can be loaded into any audio host application that conforms to the AudioUnit or VST plugin specification. Plugins with an AAX version available can be loaded into Professional tools 12+.

This plugin is compatible with Windows (32- and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 and later) and macOS (10.7 and later, 64-bit Intel processor) computers (2.5 GHz dual-core or faster processor with at least 4 GB of system RAM, requires support for SSE4.2 instructions, such as any Intel Core i, AMD Bulldozer, or Zen-based processor). A separate binary distribution file is available for each target computer platform and audio plugin specification.
