Eternal Card Game Download

Create decks and use them to crush your enemies in this fast-paced card game with many possible strategies

It would appear that card games are split into two categories, depending on whether they are quick and simple, or long and complex. However, many gamers would much rather prefer something more versatile, perhaps with a large degree of freedom when it comes to decks, but shorter matches. A few games have tried to provide this, but not many managed to hit the sweet spot.

Create the desired decks and put them to good use

Eternal Card Game allows you to get the best out of the two worlds, and it comes a lot closer than everything else out there. Hence, the recipe is quite simple: huge collection of cards, freedom to combine them as you wish, and very quick matches that have simple, yet balanced rules. On top of that, the game is also free-to-play, which means that every card in the game can be obtained by simply playing, even if you can also pay for them.

The gameplay is nothing out of the ordinary, which means that you should be able to get right down to business if you are at least somewhat familiar with other CCGs. Thus, two players face off in an arena using their decks in a turn-based manner. Power points are needed to play a card, and the points increase as the rounds go by, thus unlocking more powerful cards from your deck.

Neat artwork and a decent player base

Although you can enjoy the game in singleplayer, the game shines at its brightest in multiplayer, where you can challenge other people and truly enjoy every win. Thankfully, there seem to be enough people online at any given time to provide you with a pleasant experience. Moreover, strategy matters more than the power of your deck, so it’s not pay-to-win either.

Lastly, the graphics are nothing out of this world, but they are quite beautiful artwork-wise. Hence, every card and environment is beautifully drawn, which works wonders for the atmosphere. Speaking of which, the soundtrack and the sound effects improve on this as well, although it sounds a bit too generic, kind of like what you hear in every fantasy game.

A worthy contender for Hearthstone and MTG

All things considered, the balanced gameplay is what sets Eternal Card Game from its competition, so it should manage to win a significant portion of the market with enough luck. Hence, it’s definitely worth a try if you are a fan of the genre.
