Continuing the epic galactic story of the protoss, terran and zerg is the sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s StarCraft: Brood W ar, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty

.
This new take on the story is set in a vibrant new 3D environment, where you will get the chance to control some of the same iconic units, as well as some new ones.

A game that takes the StarCraft series and gives it a complete graphical overhaul

Unlike its predecessor released in 1998, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty boasts beautifully designed 3D graphics, as well as new game mechanics that are rarely seen in other similar titles, such as units able to walk over terrains of different levels.
The units are also something to be amazed about, as seeing how your terrans or hydralisks look in high-quality 3D will make your inner 2000’s child scream of joy.

Get sucked into a story of epic proportions.

As you open the game, you’ll get to choose whether to follow a multi-chapter campaign that interconnects the story of three of the most powerful races in the galaxy.
You can either play as the terran (StarCraft’s equivalent of the human), the zerg (an insectoid race bent on nothing but conquering and assimilation), or the protoss (an ancient, technologically-advanced race of religious humanoids).
The story of WIngs of Liberty is centered around the terrans, but that doesn’t mean that characters from other races will not make an appearance.
The story set years after the end of the Brood War, and starts off with the terrans taking measures to counter Sarah Kerrigan’s (AKA the Queen of Blades) return.

A game set to follow in its predecessor’s competitive footsteps

Up until quite recently, StarCraft: Brood War was the most hyped esports game out there, with matches being televised and distributed on cable in the same manner as professional football or tennis matches.
StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty manages to continue this legacy with balance changes that will allow anyone to have equal shots in matches (no more blitz zerg rushes).
Besides, the way certain units interact, and the rock-paper-scissors type of fashion one unit can be countered by another allows almost every match to feel different from the previous one.

One of the greatest RTS series out there comes back with a BANG

StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty is the first of a three-story arc that continues the epic stories that take place among the stars between 3 legendary races, managing thus to capture the hearts of both older and newer gamers alike.
It boasts beautiful 3D graphics, new units, while still being able to stay familiar to the fans of the series. Overall, no RTS fan can say he tried them all if he hasn’t played StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty.
