Castlevania: Bloodlust Curse of Dracula is a sort of extended remake of the brilliant Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest. The game’s story takes years after Simon and his Belmont defeated Dracula (although you can relive this battle). Unfortunately, the main character suffers from Dracula’s curse. And the only cure is to return to Transylvania, find all the parts of Dracula’s body, and bring them to the Sacred Altar in the castle itself.

Castlevania: Bloodlust Curse of Dracula’s control system is very similar to the classic Castlevania control system. Move the hero with the arrow keys, space to jump with his bar and attack with the X key. that’s all. You don’t need anything else to go through the different locations of the game and destroy all the enemies that get in your way. Skeletons, spiders, jellyfish, sea monsters…you can see our faces in all the usual monsters of the saga.

One of the most impressive aspects of Castlevania: Bloodlust Curse of Dracula is the non-linear progression of the game. The player can make several decisions during his adventure, thereby discovering several different endings. As if this wasn’t enough, you’ll come across several NPCs throughout the game that offer secondary missions. These missions are not required to complete the game, but they expand our experience.

Another important aspect to consider when playing Castlevania: Bloodlust Curse of Dracula is the ability to save the game unlike what happened in the original Castlevania II. Just save the game instead of using a password. It is also recommended that you do it regularly as the game is very difficult.

Castlevania: Bloodlust Curse of Dracula is a great 2D role-playing and action game that fans of Metroidvania in general and the Castlevania saga in particular will love. More interestingly, the game was developed using a modification of the RPG Maker engine with absolutely amazing results.
