How it works
Jailer includes a number of database models to help you get started with the application and learn about its functionality. In addition, you can create a new data model from the “Connect” window. The data model stores information about database tables and the associations between them. The data in these tables can be retrieved automatically if you use the “Scan Database” option.
To create a new database connection, you must select the DBMS (database management system) you are using from an integrated list and fill out a form that must contain information about your alias, JDBC Driver JAR, JAR secondary, Driver-Class, DB-URL, username and password. After entering all these details, you can see the tables and associations in the database. Associations can be defined manually to complete the data model.
