Laptop Miranda NG is the successor to the Miranda desktop client, which provides support for multiple protocol configurations. The program allows you to manage multiple instant messaging accounts from the same interface and allows you to add multiple plugins.
Support for various instant messaging protocols
Portable Miranda NG is a lightweight Windows client that lets you manage a multitude of instant messaging accounts. The app is easy to use and requires no installation, which means you can even run it from a removable drive.
With Portable Miranda NG, you can set up multiple messaging accounts, even from different networks. Some examples include: Facebook, Yahoo, AOL Instant Messenger, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), Jabber, MSN, Skype classic, Twitter, WhatsApp, VKontakte or Xfire.

The app can be customized, from toolbars, history storage, chat window options, and contact import. The application can automatically import contacts from the accounts you set up, but you can also transfer them from a profile file.
Backup, encryption and extensions
Miranda NG Portable allows you to set up multiple profiles, each with one or more instant messaging protocols. Each of these profiles is stored on your computer and can be assigned a different level of encryption. Therefore, standard mode allows you to protect only critical data, such as passwords or safety data sheets.
Total mode allows you to encrypt your entire database, string settings, events, and histories, but requires more space than before. Compatible extensions can expand the capability of Miranda NG laptop with interface elements, sounds and various protocols. Therefore, you can customize your client to suit your preferences and also to optimize its size.
Manage multiple protocols at once
Miranda NG Portable allows you to connect to multiple instant messaging accounts at once, providing the authentication credentials of each. You can enable or disable connections at any time, as well as view notifications of new messages in your system tray. File transfer is also supported.
