If you own one of Nintendo’s most innovative video consoles, the Nintendo 64, you can return to iconic titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and GoldenEye 007. You can enjoy nearly any game on Project64. However, like all emulators, the application does not support some titles. With the program’s help, you can find a small list of all compatible games, but the amount grows with each new version.

Project64 works through a system of game ROMs. You’ll have to find this yourself to be able to play. If it’s in ZIP format, it’s automatically unzipped by the emulator, so you don’t need to unzip it. In addition, it has its own game manager and from the program itself you can see a list of what you have, along with images and information about your games.

Among its many configuration options is the possibility to configure resolutions and all sorts of graphics filters to make the game look even better than the original Nintendo 64 itself. There is a list showing all valid ROMs. Double-click on any of them to start the game. Video and sound quality are virtually identical to the original. Additionally, Project64 supports the use of joysticks and allows full device configuration (including the original console’s Rumble Pack for vibration).
