Space Station 14, a free and open source remake of the mythical Space Station 13, is an MMORPG that allows players to take on the roles of various members of the space station crew. This remake allows you to enjoy a gaming experience similar to the original, but built from the ground up using a proprietary engine. In practice, this means that this version of the game is more stable, more compatible, and has slightly more sophisticated mechanics.
In Space Station 14, each player takes on the role of a perfectly normal worker within the space station. Interestingly, the station itself always has some kind of problem that needs our attention or the rest of the crew. And when trouble begins, so does chaos. Our main objective is to survive the different situations that can occur on the space station and cooperate with the rest of the players.
Players can customize their avatar’s appearance with different types of hairstyles, accessories, clothing, outfits, and more. Now, when you enter a new space station, you are randomly assigned a job. This task is completely random and does not depend on the character’s appearance or previous experience. Any role can play us, from engineer and captain to traitor to janitor. Of course, depending on the job we have, we should try to do a series of tasks, etc.
Space Station 14 is a completely crazy MMORPG and the most fun is interacting with other players and making decisions. On every space station there comes a time when important decisions must be made that affect the present and future of the station itself. And in that moment, any character can feel like the true protagonist of the story, regardless of role.
