Ducati announces a range of urban electric mobility products

Ducati joined MT Distribution to present a new range of electric bikes and scooters, designed for urban mobility. In total, Ducati intends to present four electric scooters as well as three folding electric bikes under the brands Ducati, Ducati Corse and Ducati Scrambler. All of this will be launched in Europe a little later in 2020. The range of electric bikes and electric scooters was designed in collaboration with Ducati Design Center and Italdesign. Electric scooters and electric bikes are the result of Ducati's response to the demands of the urban mobility market.

According to Ducati, the whole range of new two-wheeled electric vehicles will be available for sale in Europe in 2020. The electric scooters that are developed as part of the partnership have motors ranging from 250W to 500W, while electric bikes are Equipped 250 W engines. The first two electric scooters will be called Cross-E and Pro II, which will be launched on June 20 and July 6, respectively.

Ducati Pro II will be powered by a 350 W continuous brushless motor

The Cross-E will use the Ducati Scrambler brand and comes with 6.5-inch thick tubeless tires mounted on wheels, which are supposed to be suitable for uneven roads and even expanses of dirt. The brushless motor provides a continuous output power of 500 W and is said to offer excellent initial pickup as well as traction power in uphill sections. The Cross-E comes with a 375 Wh battery which offers an average speed of up to 15 km / h, with a range of 35 km. A 3.5 inch LCD screen provides access to three driving modes, and there is also a dual headlight for night use.

The Ducati Pro II will be powered by a 350 W continuous brushless motor and a 280 Wh battery. The Pro II has a claimed range of 25 to 30 km on a single charge, sufficient for short trips. The Pro II comes with 10 inch tubeless puncture resistant tires and a large 3.5 inch LCD screen. The Pro II also comes with electric front and rear disc brakes. The range of folding electric bikes will be launched in the coming months. Some models of these scooters and electric bikes will be available from Ducati dealers and can also be ordered from the Ducati online store. So far, there is no information on availability in India, but it is unlikely that Ducati will soon launch the new range of electric mobility in India.
