Mercedes teases new S-Class the day it leaks

Following the anxiety that the current coronavirus pandemic has spread to the automotive industry, Mercedes-Benz has started to resist the resumption of production at its German factory.

Daimler AG, its parent company, announced its return through a video that showed the new normalcy of the company in manufacturing plants: face masks, social distancing, among others. One thing Daimler also showed towards the end of the video (integrated above) was a preview of the new Mercedes S-Class.

However, the S-Class in the video was secret, unlike the leaked images of the actual car that we reported on today. Coincidence or marketing ploy? It is beyond us.

Going through the photos above, you will see more or less what the next S-Class renovation would look like, inside and out. The exterior design, of course, will remain very familiar, although the grille appears to be larger than before. At the rear, CLS design elements are important, although the rear fascia of the S-Class differs with the metal trim hitting the trunk door. There are also double leaks, but we think this is wrong, as we pointed out earlier.

What is revealed in the leaked photos, however, is the all-new interior design of the Mercedes S-Class, which was planned in the Vision EQS last year. The infotainment screen is now in portrait orientation, seamlessly connecting to the center console that houses the gear lever and more. It should be noted that the Class S trim that leaked here shows padded seats and rear entertainment.

The new Mercedes S-Class will be unveiled in the coming months, but without the two-door coupe and convertible versions.
