[Review] Features and performance of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

We have thoroughly tested the Z Fold 2 and I must say that it is a phone incredibly pleasant to use.

For this phoneI guess it’s okay that I mention its collapsible nature first.

Samsung folding function

Their hinges are firm, but at an angle of more than 120 degrees the Z-fold 2 it couldn’t lie flat on a surface.

Because everyone half of your screen It was so heavy (the one with the camera is heavier), it would tip over with a light touch.

If you bend it slightly with the side of the camera as the base, it is more stable.

This made it less useful when I wanted to have my hands free, but I rarely encountered the need to use the phone this way anyway.

I preferred to hold the phone, but it also brought its own little challenges.

he the phone weighs more than 280 g, significantly heavier than an average smartphone.

Holding it when folded is fine, as it 6.2 inch bridge screen it is long but narrow and therefore fits very well in my hand.

However, once unfolded, it would be difficult to hold the heavy phone (or the mini-tablet, really) with its 5 inch wide screen

for an extended period.

Without the phone case, there just isn’t enough friction to keep it from slipping after a while, so even holding it will tire sooner or later.

Display and performance

Like most Samsung smartphones of the current generation, this one also comes with a large AMOLED display, but his Capacity 120 Hz just that one available on the main screen.

Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the game on this phone, if only for its mini-tablet size.

Is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ and unsurprisingly, it held up very well to my use.

I played various games on it, mainly Genshin impact, and after this experience, I can’t imagine to play

the game on a screen smaller than the Z-fold 2 unfolded.

One thing I noticed was that the camera area warmed up a bit after an hour or two of direct play, which I usually took as a signal to take a break.

Watching videos is just as enjoyable and I didn’t feel a disconnect between what I was watching and what I heard.

However, the difficulty of holding the phone unfolded for an extended period still applies, but despite that, it was fun to use.

Your phone’s standard audio

I don’t feel like the speaker audio to be really that good no matter which smartphone you own, and that’s how I felt about the Z-fold 2.

I have no complaints about its sound or volume capability, but if you expect it to sound like a real speaker, you will be disappointed.

It’s about managing your expectations wisely.

Battery life

he the phone lasts at least 1.5 days if I have a quarter of gloss and I play more than 4 hours a day.

By durations, I don’t mean he’s run out for that length, but he’s probably got about 20% of his juice left.

It operates according to the usual standards of 4500mAh Samsung phonesSo, if you already have one with this battery, you will not be surprised or disappointed with how it works.

Again, the average cameras

To be honest, cameras of this phone does not shine. They are painfully average, considering the price you would pay for the Z-fold 2.

For more distant objects, the camera It struggles to make them as sharp as the eye would perceive, but it works well enough for closer shots.

One thing that I was It was great to be able to project what the camera sees onto the cover screen, which means the subject being photographed will be able to preview how they would look before taking the photo.

However, with its size and the way it sits quite uncomfortably, I don’t see myself using this phone much for taking photos, anyway.

Verdict

It’s a pleasure use Galaxy Z Fold 2, especially since I have become so attached to my gaming needs.

his mini tablet size this is perfect for you to have an amazing view of your game without also big screen.

Be the phone bigger than the Z Flip and the first version of the Fold, it also offers a better split-screen multitasking experience, although of course not as good as a real tablet like this would. S7 tab.

One thing that seemed to be missing from such a big phone was actually a S Pen stylus. Have such a big screen but without stylus for drawing it was simply wrong.

Fortunately, however, Samsung hinted that a The next version of the Z Fold series could support the S Pen.

However, despite the quality of Z-fold 2, I cannot justify its price.

Its capabilities are little or no different from those of other high-end flagship phones from Samsung; its main difference is what allows it to make its nature foldable.

At the end of the day, unless you’re looking for a phone that’s more fun than functional (or just to show off, there’s nothing wrong with that), I don’t think so. the Z Fold 2 be a user friendly phone. .

And one last thing, if you buy it anyway, I would definitely recommend a phone case to avoid scratching the screen or the camera.

Benefits The inconvenients
The big screen mimics a mini tablet Features and functions do not fully justify the high price
Big screen and performance make gaming fun The phone is heavy
