[Review] Samsung Galaxy Buds + Sound quality and comfort

From what I can see, the Samsung Galaxy Buds + doesn’t look that different on the surface from its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Buds.

They keep the same styles of helmet and holster compact and rounded for an elegant look. The first thing I did with the Buds + was to marvel at their small size, but I’ll come back to that later.

I haven’t actually looked at the original Buds, so my performance benchmark for the Buds + is the Jabra Elite 75t, which completely changed my attitude towards wireless headphones.

Let’s listen to music

So far, I’ve looked at Apple and Sudio Ett wireless headphones, and in terms of sound, I would say Buds + comes in second.

They can’t beat Apple, but they work better than Ett when it comes to providing more balanced audio quality.

However, if I were more picky, I would say that the Buds + sound is too muted for my tastes.

I can’t explain it eloquently, but the way I can describe it is that they sound slightly muffled, as if the music came from a thick blanket.

It didn’t have a negative impact on my music sessions as a whole as they always seem clear and enjoyable. It’s certainly not my favorite, but it’s yours anyway.

If you’re already an original Buds user, one thing that will disappoint you is the lack of active noise cancellation.

Absolutely adorable to watch

I am very satisfied with the pill-shaped case and the design of the helmet. I can’t help but look at them and tell me how cute they are.

The case is small, fun to hold and easy to slip into pockets thanks to its flat and round shape. If you train enough, you can also open it with one hand.

As for the headphones, they are also the smallest I have ever tried. They are quite comfortable to wear for long periods.

I have no complaints for me in this department.

Keep control

Buds + has no tangible buttons, which I have always said I prefer. However, I’m 50-50 with Buds + controls, and here’s why.

One of the main reasons why I prefer having tangible buttons is because I know when I pressed them, because it takes some pressure to activate anything.

For Buds +, I accidentally found myself rubbing against their tactile surfaces and stopping my music (or activating another control) when I touch my hair or my glasses.

A slight annoyance, but what compensates is that each time they are touched, they emit a soft beep that tells me that I really touched them.

This is useful when adjusting the volume (by pressing and holding one of the headphones), because I now know how high or low I am adjusting my volume.

So far, even wireless headphones with tangible buttons haven’t been able to give me that peace of mind.

I’ve always adjusted the volume on my device, but with Buds +, I find myself using touch controls for volume.

Verdict

If I had tried Buds + before I put Apple on my ears, I would probably have said that these are the best wireless headphones I have ever tried.

The Buds + would have incredible autonomy, allowing the user 11 hours of use on a single full charge from the case.

I can’t prove it, but I can say that since I received the Buds + on a full battery about 2 weeks ago, I use them fairly regularly and I still have to charge the case, which ended up running out. power.

Overall, Buds + has been a pleasant user experience, and if I were to decide to buy a wireless headset, it would be a big competitor.

I would say they are worth the price for the quality offered. They are versatile and good for the average person who loves music.
