A woman had the surprise of her life when she came across a birth certificate that led her to believe that her mother had hidden a “secret brother” from her.
The woman, named Kristin, stumbled across the mysterious document in her mother’s house, which named the unknown child Clyde Fabian and even included an ink mark of the baby’s footprints.
But after confronting his mother, he found out the truth.
Her “secret brother” was actually a Cabbage Patch doll, a popular toy in the 1990s that came with its own birth certificates and adoption papers.
Her mother had clung to the papers and the doll, thinking that one day it might be worth something.
Kristin’s sister Chloe shared the hilarious mistake on Twitter, where he has accumulated over 260,000 likes.
She said: ‘I may have done a lot of shameful things in my life, but my older sister actually once found a birth certificate for a cabbage boy in my mother’s filing cabinet, started to yelling at him and accusing our mother of hiding. our “brother” Clyde Fabian from us, and she was about 15 years old.
Why did my mother keep the birth certificate? She thought the cabbage patch might be worth something someday because it was an original.
Why did you keep it with our birth certificates? I do not know. This is the part of the story where my mom did something embarrassing. “
Clyde Fabian was dressed in a scrub uniform and a mask bearing the inscription “Babyland General Hospital”.
“My mom chose this doll because my dad is a doctor and she thought it was cute,” Chloe said.
She explained that she reminded him of the funny story after Kristin gave birth to a baby girl, and her younger sister bought her pajamas that read “Clyde Fabian is my uncle.”
Chloe continued, “When my older sister Kristin had her first baby, my hilarious little sister @catjaddy had this jumpsuit made for our niece.
At least Kristin has a good sense of humor on the whole issue.
His post received thousands of hilarious fan comments on Twitter, one of which reads, “Clyde Fabian is a Cabbage Patch Kid name.”
Another added: ‘It’s not shameful. I still have my daughter’s Cabbage Patch Doll birth certificate in the safe.
“We also always have her Christmas stocking. I set it up a year ago and everyone asked, “Who is Ava?” “
A third said, “I can’t breathe,” while another commented, “It made me cry. I can not even “.
