Woman smashes cousin’s Xbox with hammer as punishment for failing at school

Getting your kids away from their game consoles to focus on their homework can be tricky.

But a woman who took matters into her own hands when her aunt told her her cousin was “failing all of his classes” divided opinions, with some saying his punishment was “unnecessary.”

In the video which was shared on TikTok, Lilian was seen telling Laurin, “Do what you have to do Laurin because she’s not listening to me.”

Laurin then bursts into his teenage cousin’s bedroom while he is sitting playing a video game called Fortnite and proceeds to unplug his Xbox while begging her to stop.

As he chases her down the stairs, Antonio says, “What are you doing brother? Give me my Xbox.

“You don’t want to listen to your mother,” Laurin said, throwing the Xbox out the front door.

Unsurprisingly, Antonio is furious and starts yelling at his cousin before returning to the front door to find his mother.

“Mom, mom, Laurin just picked up my Xbox,” you can hear him say.

But when he turns his back to her, she goes further, smashing the game console with a hammer, saying, “I’m sorry… not really. Go download your notes.

When Laurin feels like she’s done a lot of damage, she leaves the Xbox to him.

He inspects it more closely, then throws it hard to the ground himself.

Antonio later retrieves his Xbox and is seen cradling her like a baby while complaining of scratches on the outside.
