CrossHair is a new tool for web designers to add high resolution support to HTML. It displays your mouse over a black filled square with a white arrow on the x-axis. When you hover your mouse over a square, two full-width lines crossing the mouse pointer move across the square. Lines follow along any positioned window or program until you click or see scrolling text in the bottom half of the screen. The little program is very easy to use and works completely in stealth mode until you activate the moving crosshair. In this mode, the text appears as you scroll, but the original border remains invisible.

CrossHair works on almost all operating systems. It can be used on a Mac by placing the Crosshair app that comes with the Mac first on the start menu and then pressing the arrow keys to display the crosshair on the monitor. You can also use this same method with Linux systems by placing the Crosshair application in the Linux start menu and then using the arrow keys to display a moving crosshair on your monitor. The program is available for download from the developer’s site, the site has detailed instructions for installing the program. CrossHair was released in January, so it’s relatively new. While the initial release only included a few new features, the developer has kept the software available through its website up to date.

To download Crosshair for Windows, first download the Crosshair app. The application will download some files that it will need to run. Then install the Crosshair application by copying the Crosshair folder to your desktop. After installing the application, select “scan” to copy the scan information from the downloaded file to your computer. Finally, you are ready to start playing the game!
