Back: The story from 1999

On the last day of 1999, a ‘storm’ came down. People walking in streets and buildings melted away in the rain and disappeared, and the world returned to a new past. All but you hid their tracks corroded by the ‘storm’. The Storm’s birth led to suspicions about the relationship between humanity and mages in a world where they coexist, with the “Reconstructionist Hand” obsessed with seeking mages’ glory. Vertin (the main character), unaffected by the storm, is appointed “Time-Keeper” by the mage organization ‘St. Pavlov Foundation’. Together with Sonetto, her ally, Vertin rescues mages from different eras and lands swept into the storm’s time of change, who discovers premonitions of change within these temporal shifts brought about by the storm. Her identity, the truth of the storm, the foundation’s purpose – all of this was as unclear as being in a fog.
