Quickly and easily convert PDFs into searchable documents

It uses state-of-the-art OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to accurately extract the text of PDF documents if the text is stored in the image. The application proves its usefulness when working with scanned documents saved in PDF format.

PDF OCR X comes with a simple and clean user interface on which you can drag and drop the PDFs you need to convert to plain text or searchable PDF documents. Alternatively, you can use the Select File window to browse your Mac for the source document.

Customize OCR conversion settings according to your needs

Once selected, PDF OCR X allows you to manually adjust OCR conversion settings, select the output format, select the document language and provide the path to the output directory. The great thing about this app is that you have the option to install additional languages ​​directly from within the app.

When you are satisfied with the settings, you can click the “Convert” button and wait for PDF OCR X to complete the process. All converted files are displayed in the main window, where you can open or display any processed document in Finder.

Automatically rename converted projects

By accessing the Preferences window, you will be able to configure PDF OCR X to change the name of the output PDF file by adding a user-definable suffix. On top of that, you can enable the “Automatically open converted files” option and change the default conversion settings.
