The Abricotine editor also includes markdown-style editing tools that help new and experienced users bypass the need to manually type syntax and verify that each markup is used correctly.

Markdown editor that can handle standard syntax and more

In the Abricotine text editing area, you can use standard Markdown syntax: you can use six different heading sizes, format text in italics, bold, underline or strikethrough, or mark it as a line of code or a quote.

You can also create ordered or unordered lists, to-do lists, insert images stored locally or available online, add links, set anchor points, or include code blocks or mathematical formulas.

Abricotine can also handle some GitHub Flavored Markdown improvements, such as being able to include tables with variable number of columns or rows.

Instantly preview Markdown documents or send them to a web browser

All adjustments made with markdown syntax can be previewed almost immediately in the main Abricotine window, but you can also choose to view the file in your default web browser.

Note that if you make any changes, you will have to send the link to the browser again: the link generated before refreshing will not work.

For your convenience, Abricotine provides keyboard shortcuts for the most frequently used functions: you can see the hotkeys in the status bar menu. However, not all tools have hotkeys and you cannot change the default combination.
