Working on multiple devices while using the same keyboard and mouse can significantly improve your user experience, especially if you can do it wirelessly. pass through By using a Bluetooth controller, you can control up to 6 different client devices, whether they are desktop computers or mobile devices.
Turn your Mac into a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse
To simplify the installation process, Across comes with an installer that takes care of everything and also deploys an uninstaller application that will completely remove Across from your system.
The next step is to decide if you want to use it as a server or client. Note that you need at least one device to act as a server. Client devices will detect the Across server as a bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo, and you will need to pair them using a bluetooth controller.
In Across Center, you can pair your server with multiple devices and create custom device layouts. Note that Across comes with companion apps for Windows and Android.
However, any Bluetooth device can be controlled using the server’s mouse and keyboard, even if the client is not installed. The difference is that drag and drop and text transfer between devices are not supported.
Personalize mouse and keyboard interactions for each Bluetooth-connected device
In the main Across Center window, you can view a list of paired devices and assign them new names or icons to make them easier to identify through the device settings panel. The same area gives you the possibility to switch mouse drag and text synchronization between server and client devices.
Other customization options include the possibility to change the mouse mode (relative mouse, absolute mouse or absolute touch device), mouse pointer speed or screen resolution.
All in all, Across gives you the option to use the Bluetooth controller integrated with your Mac to connect other Bluetooth-enabled devices and use the same mouse and keyboard to control them.
Across is relatively easy to set up, and once you realize that you need to switch to server mode on at least one desktop computer (Across starts in client mode by default), everything should go smoothly.
