Transmit the sound to your mobile device via the local network

With Airfoil, you can stream sound from the music sharing services Spotify and Pandora, and any other audio source on your Mac, to various devices in your home.

Airfoil is designed to exist in the Mac’s status bar, from where you can access its menu, select audio source and target device, and open the preference window. More importantly, you can configure Airfoil to only reside in the menu bar and delete the Dock icon.

In addition, Airfoil and its companion application, Airfoil Satellite, work very well, allowing you to easily control the application from anywhere in your home with the help of a mobile device or another Mac or Windows PC.

Another feature worth mentioning is that from the main window of Airfoil, you can easily select audio sources and receivers, monitor and adjust sound levels, and access the built-in sound equalizer. Therefore, you can add volume gain, change the sound balance and use different EQ presets.
