Straver (free)
1/3
Basilisk is more of an ongoing project than an established product. However, it works quite well and has some less popular but interesting features. It uses the same engine and lines of code as older versions of Firefox. However, it is still far from Firefox in terms of speed.
Stylish interface
The browser has a simple but modern design. You can also customize color schemes using the Theme feature. Since it is an open source program, every aspect can be further customized, including the interface.
Basilisk has higher requirements than Firefox and supports fewer versions of Windows. If your engine has 2GB or less RAM, it won’t run very smoothly. Even at 3GB, it may prove taxing on your device, depending on your activity. If you’re using Windows 10, this shouldn’t be a problem since all devices running this OS come with at least 4GB of RAM.

Full of features
Instead of searching for extensions, you can find them on the Basilisk home page. They offer many unique and quirky extras. Some of these could have been Firefox features, but never made it to market.
Constantly updated
This app is a community project, so everyone can contribute to improve it. You can submit codes via Github and create various extensions. Straver also releases updates through frequent patches to improve the experience for people using the program.
