It can clean up leftovers, detect orphaned applications, run uninstallers according to pre-made lists and much more. Although BCU was created with IT professionals in mind, by default it is so simple that anyone can use it without any problems.

Why should I use this uninstaller instead of something else?

While it’s true that there are many different uninstall managers out there, few come close to the detection speed and versatility of Bulk Crap Uninstaller, compared to the standard Windows Uninstall Manager you may find that BCU will list many times more applications. Uninstall countless applications quickly

BCUninstaller will do all the hard work of ordering and running uninstallers for you. All you have to do is select them from the list. Many programs do not offer non-intrusive uninstallers. They will be executed first, so you will be able to leave the computer earlier.

Remove all leftovers from uninstalls

Often, uninstallers will not remove files that were created after the program was installed – temporary files, settings, shortcuts, etc. BCUninstaller will search for and offer to remove all of these, saving you many minutes, if not hours.

Discover orphaned applications

Often, applications end up without a working uninstaller. They sit on your hard drive, you can even use them, but most uninstall managers won’t see them. BCUninstaller will detect, list and enable you to remove these programs.

Start-up manager

Like any existing uninstall manager, BCU has a startup manager. However, it is not a useless gadget, it has some powerful features. The manager is linked to the main application list – you can see which applications start at startup and disable them.

Multiple languages

Uninstall lists and searches

You can create special lists that automatically select all matching uninstallers. One of the most common uses for these is to uninstall crapware from a series of similar computers in a classroom or office. Many different filtering methods are available, all of which are also searchable in the main list!

Verification of certificates

Do you think malware can impersonate a legitimate application? BCUninstaller will look for and test digital signatures associated with the uninstallers. Green entries have been verified, while blue entries failed verification for some reason. Please note that it is common for legitimate MSI uninstallers to fail verification, this is caused by the internal operation of Windows Installer.

More data than you’ll ever need

Are you wondering which GUIDs are in use, where the application is installed, or who signed the certificate? BCU will tell you all that and much, much more. The search algorithm will look through all of this data when filtering. While all that information is of little use most of the time, it can be a godsend when you’re trying to corner a worm or debug the uninstaller.
