blue cat quilt work is a macOS application that can host multiple AU and VST plug-ins in the same digital audio workstation. Patch bays can handle up to 64 different plugins simultaneously by allowing you to create up to 8 parachains.

Blue Cat’s PatchWork comes with a user-friendly user interface that includes self-explanatory buttons for most functions, enabling you to create as many plug-in rows and columns as you want. Additionally, you can quickly switch between 3 different slot sizes and modify the window opacity.

The application automatically detects the location of your VST and Audio Unit plug-in libraries, and you can specify which effects to include in your Patch Bay via the Finder menu.

By adjusting the different knobs, you can modify the gain effect of each processing stage, and you can also link the pre-processing and post-processing knobs together. The app comes with multiple factory presets, two different interface skins and a detailed user manual to help you learn how to take advantage of everything it has to offer.

Create custom presets and share with other DAWs

Blue Cat’s PatchWork offers you the possibility to save your current settings to presets: you can use them again later without spending time going through the setup process. Additionally, presets can be shared with multiple DAWs.

Notably, you can use the MIDI port to route plug-ins to communicate without having to deal with wires and cables. The app remembers where each plugin is in the layout, and you can quickly switch between multiple renderings to generate different audio effects.
