An image editor with blur function is your go-to tool – look like.
blur bokeh (former name PicFocus) is a specially designed image editing utility created for this specific purpose, more specifically, to help you quickly and easily focus on specific areas in your photos.
Drag and drop support and beautiful user interface
With the help of Blur n Bokeh, you can quickly draw a line between the subject you want to highlight and the background you want to blur or desaturate.
Blur n Bokeh comes with an elegant and minimalistic user interface that gives you a viewport and a right panel with all the tools you need to direct your attention to the part of the picture you think should be the focus.
After loading the image by dragging and dropping or clicking the top left button, you have to draw the line between the photo subject and the background.
Use the side panel to adjust the background and foreground of your photo
It’s important to note that if you’re not reading the app’s description or looking at its screenshots, you’ll probably want to draw on the entire background.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t work because Blur n Bokeh expects you to draw the edge between the subject and the background as a line, and it can be frustrating until you figure out how exactly you should mark the edge of focus.
Having said that, it might be a good idea for the development team to add a short walkthrough of the editing process in the displayed app screen before loading the image for editing.
If you successfully marked the edge of focus, the next step is to click the Apply button in the left panel and adjust the blur, highlights, saturation and warmth levels of the background until you get the perfect result.
The side panel also allows you to adjust the sharpness, clarity, vibrancy and warmth levels of the foreground, and if you screw up anything along the way, you can quickly reset them to default using the reload button next to the background and foreground title.
User-friendly and simple tool to highlight the subject of your photos
Once you’ve finished editing your photo, you can export it to JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, or PNG format, or share it with various services and applications by clicking the share button in the upper left corner of your home screen.
All things considered, the Blur n Bokeh macOS app is a useful tool in your image editing ammo box when you need to quickly touch up a photo and give it a DSLR look in seconds.
